INTERVIEW
How did you get into the art world?
I have always liked the aesthetics of the environments. My first training was Industrial Design. I did many color studies in college, and I was charmed. Taking advantage of the hook and working with various materials, I decided to delve deeper into the painting.
What do you understand as Fine Arts?
Forms of expression created by handling various types of materials. Making it possible to create images and shapes, real or imaginary according to the artist's vision.
How do you define your Art?
Abstract, often coming from a feeling, an idea, beliefs or emotions.
What are your greatest references in the world of the Arts?
To name a few names: Tomie Ohtake and Mark Rothko.
What are the main themes used in his works? And why is that?
Currently my work consists in making rereading of nature, harmony of colors and compositions from the chromatic combinations.
What are the main techniques used in your work? And which ones do you like to use the most?
Acrylic on canvas, dilution and oxidation of paint, mixing of materials. What I like most is to let the ink take its natural course.
What do you seek to pass through your works to the viewer?
The goal of my work is to generate sensations to the viewer, letting their own creativity flow, using the compositions of colors, contrasts and mixing of materials.
What are the best and greatest experiences in your artistic career?
All experiences are valid, I liked them all. To perform exhibitions in Brazil, to be in an art gallery, to make a specific work for an environment (which is extremely challenging, because I work with the expectation and trust of the client). I consider all experiences important.
To name a few exhibitions: Connections - 2022 - Gallery + Art - Londrina. ; Art and Women - 2022 - Art Lab Gallery - SP; Modern Art Week 1922 - 2022 - Art Lab Gallery - SP; Art and Women - 2022 - Art Lab Gallery - SP; Parallel Universes - Cosmos Gallery - 2022 - Santa Catarina; Up Contemporânea - 2022 - Art Lab Gallery - SP, among others.
In his work, is there a kind of protest beyond what is obviously seen? If so, which one? If not, is there a theme that awakens your willingness to protest?
No. Although animal abuse is a cause that appeals to me.
Are you interested in doing a traveling exhibition? If so, how do you imagine this exhibition? Would you know what topic you would like to address?
I am interested in any way to exhibit art, but I do not have a specific theme.
Where do you want to get to as an artist?
My personal fulfillment is already very valid, I love what I do. And it is very nice to have the recognition of my work, to leave a lighter and more colorful environment through my art
