INTERVIEW

How did you get into the art world?
Unpretentiously, through friends who watched my risks on an afternoon of work. However, contact with the visual arts, music and dance comes from family.

What do you understand as Fine Arts?
Every form of expression of the soul, using as a means of surrender and deliverance. Experiences, observations and contact with natural, technological, sensory resources, memories and abstractions of thoughts and feelings.

How do you define your Art?
Intuitive, with doses of chaos, density, harmony and sensations that somehow touches, releases, releases and accesses those who allow themselves to feel.

What are your greatest references in the world of the Arts?
After Nature, Yayoi Kusama, Basquiat, Kandinsky, Frida Kahlo, Bel Borba, Rosana Paulino. Among others.

What are the main themes used in his works? And why is that?
Female. Nature. Ancestry. This triad that makes connection with the world, its questions and mysteries.

What are the main techniques used in your work? And which one do you like to use the most?
Ink, watercolor, acrylic, collage. In all of them we have the choice of creation. Be realistic, rich in detail, as well as allow yourself to drop, move and be amazed by the unforeseen and unique results of shapes and colors.

What do you seek to pass through your works to the viewer?
Depths in feeling and thinking, with the presence of harmony and questions about the human being and its nature.

What are the best and greatest experiences in your artistic career?
I don't usually evaluate experiences. All are valid and are exchanges of teachings and learnings. I bring art to the walls, murals and paintings for environments that recognize and take pleasure in breathing art. The best, I can say that they are the ones who welcome, deliver and trust the process. The saying goes that we only enter where it's called. If there is a call, the result is almost always pleasurable, enriching and rewarding. In trips through Chapada Diamantina (BA), for example, it is always a moment of gratitude, exchange and recognition.

On this walk, being selected as one of the artists to exhibit at Cow Parade was a moment of acceptance and internalization of my place as a human being and artist in the world.

In your work is there a kind of protest beyond what is obviously seen? If so, which one? If not, is there a theme that awakens your willingness to protest?
I protest for more care and attention, for freedom of expression and distancing from the bonds of the capitalist system, sexist and that still limit the development of the human being, especially the less favored. I protest for more limits and respect in choices. And, most importantly, I protest the presence of love that is forgotten in our day-to-day decisions and that at some point knocks on the door of conscience.
I want to get involved in environmental causes, which is the cradle of our existence.

Are you interested in doing a traveling exhibition? If so, how do you imagine this exhibition? Would you know what topic you would like to address?
Yes. An organic, sensory, close to nature exposure. Theme: Beings. Spirits on the move. I think I can improve and be more poetic! [Laughs]

Where do you want to get to as an artist?
In the quiet.
